[Bridge: Peter Labeaud]
I see that you are in your ways
You don’t have to worry child
We all felt pain
No, it just ain’t the same

[Hook: Sam Smith]
Told you now
You know what I mean
It's like walking in the heat all day with no water
It's like waiting for a friend
Watching everybody else meet theirs on that corner

[Verse 1: Peter Labeaud]
It's starting to feel frivolous
Like four hundred years
Going on five hundred years
I feel like I can feel your tears
Running down your perfectly aligned contours, I know a ruined yours
Along our journey
Our destination was a perfect picture
It was my godly essence
Now, Picture us splitting our ways
I never ever saw it
And Miss Cloe foresaw my future
Told me I was the future for heaven on earth
And I gotta hurt in order to serve my purpose
The purpose, what is it?
Tell me, I'm hurting inside
I'm dying to right my wrongs
I'm dying to live, Vice verse
No rehearsal, The Hearse is reversal
The voices want me in the coffin
I'm coughing and weezing
No pleading, I don't know the reasons
I wonder if I believe in you God
If you got me
And what your former friend
Has in store for me
I'm already dealing with eternal
Internal fire inside my soul
But my dear friend then already
Sold they soul, I remember the day
You held me tight and asked me to never leave you or you couldn't hang on to
Dear life anymore, What should I do
It's been 4 long years
And a whole lot of tears
Pain rained down
& Truthfully
Nobody can stop me
Not even you

[Hook: Sam Smith]
Told you now
You know what I mean
It's like walking in the heat all day with no water
It's like waiting for a friend
Watching everybody else meet theirs on that corner

[Verse 2: Lexii Alijai]

I understand
I hope you do too
Look, You reach your hand out to fire
Boy you Gon get burned
Can't keep getting them cuts tho
Cause’ you gon learn, Day two go past
Now you feeling a lot
Ain’t enough words to describe
The feeling you got
When the person you loving leave
They say they wanna be free
But she don’t know how to say it
She don’t wanna be mean
She telling lies everyday
But you see through it all
But you figure she was stronger
Y'all really been through it all
Guess not
People change everyday
Tryna think of what to say
So you can get her to stay
Because you’d rather fight for it
Then to give it away
Your best friend turned stranger now
That shit ain’t okay
Shit is crazy
You said that you was gon be here for me
Who are you
To even say you had to chill with me
You was supposed to be the one wanna build with me
And now you right here tryna bail on me
Damn
Yeah, Yeah
Now you right here tryna bail on me

[Hook: Sam Smith]
You know what I mean
It's like walking in the heat all day with no water
It's like waiting for a friend
Watching everybody else meet theirs on that corner
Or losing in an argument
Though you're right, can't get your thoughts in order
Still I refrain
From talking at you, talking on
You know me well
I don’t explain

[Outro: Brail Monday & Peter Labeaud]
You ever reach your hand out to fire
And you can’t pull it back
You love the sensation
The way your heart racing when your hands over fire, fire, fire, fire
(I got the snap in that motherfucker)

[ Verse 3: Peter Labeaud]
A cold world
But its seeming like we living in hell
Even if I fail, please
Just let a nigga know if he wasting his time tryna serve a purpose
When he don't even think
That he possess a purpose
Making music tryna be great
A legend just for what
To be accepted
To be called that nigga
Get respect from niggas you never knew
Huh
Even if you are great they still gonna treat you like you ain't just drop a fucking classic
They wanna make dollars
But they shit don’t make sense
We all watch the Grammies every year and I'm threw, Watching niggas with potential
Sit on the side lines
Losing to niggas who recite lines
To Whole songs
Wait hold on
That's fucked up
The best rap record ain't even the best rap record
But what am I talking about
A Grammy don't mean shit to me
It never helped me
What it idolize
Or It symbolize
& To all you niggas who think you bee
A-1 since day one
Y'all niggas ain't shit
And if the shoes fits
And you walked in that motherfucker
Then fuck it
Why you played yourself
You couldn't have saved yourself if you went back in time to warn ya self
You living in a paradox
You Papa Doc
And It's truthfully
Ironic that you been sleeping on the one
That you been dreaming bout
You wanna be free
But you the one who caged yourself
So What are you talking bout
My hands over fire
