[Verse 1]
I heard you speak one time in an interview
Was the sweetest lil' thing I ever heard
(Sweetest lil' thing I ever heard)
My eyes going down on you like a parachute (Down)
I wanna creep with you and that's my word
(Creep with you and that's my word)
Now, I've been knowin' mami for a while now
(A long time)
And God know she's been good to me
(Real good, real good) Yes, she has
But uh, I can't help it when I see you smile
(I just can't help it)
Something's tellin' me what I do to her
You would do to me, so what do I do?

[Chorus]
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
(When I do)
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
(What do I do?)
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
Help me y'all

[Verse 2]
Now, Proverbs 18 verse 22 says (What it say, man?)
He that findeth a wife finds a good thing
(That's what the Bible says)
Lyin' by her side thinkin' of you
I gots to get up, go to the toilet
Wash my face, and clear my head
I gotta take you to a Broadway show (Broadway show)
But I don't wanna go by myself
I'm like a kid with two ice creams, baby
And I don't want either one to melt
'Cause ever since I heard you speak in that interview
It is an awful feelin' if I hurt her
Then some days you're gonna hurt me too

[Chorus]
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do? (Do)
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
(Foolin' around with you)
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
(What will I lose?)

[Bridge]
I heard that what goes around (What goes around)
Comes back around (Comes back around)
And you're gonna reap what you sow (Sow)
Everyone knows...but me

[Chorus]
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do? (What do I do?)
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
(Foolin' around with you)
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
Somebody tell me, what will I gain, what will I lose?
(What will I lose?)
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
(I don't wanna lose you, baby)
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
(No, no, no...)
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?
Somebody tell me what will I gain, what will I lose?
(What will I gain? What will I lose?)
What do I do, what do I do, what do I do?

R. Kelly

Robert Kelly is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, where he first started performing under the “L” subway tracks as a teenager. Kelly wrote and produced the entire album, which contained the #1 R&B hits “Honey Love” and “Slow Dance,” along with the Top 10 R&B hits “She’s Got That Vibe” (#7) and “Dedicated” (#9). The following year, Kelly went on to become a solo act.
