Monday morning in the garden of Eden
Looked over and I saw your face
Never felt what you made me feel
Never felt so out so place
The sinner sleeps with the angel
I heard you breathe my name
Stumbling through the gates of freedom

CHORUS:
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
I can be saved
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day
Yeah baby
I can be healed
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day

I was being nobody going nowhere
Thru the kingdom of the blind and lame
Wouldn't give myself away, cos I
Never thought I'd touch your flame
You opened up my book of love
(I know it's true)
What was I so scared of
(I'm running)
For the gates of freedom

CHORUS:
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
I can be saved
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day
Yeah baby
I can be healed
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day

I've wanted so much in my life
Desired everyone I knew
I would not take it kicking and screaming
The only one I want is you

Never thought I'd hear me say
(I know its true)
Maybe love will save the day
I'm a prisoner at the gates of freedom

CHORUS:
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
I can be saved
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day
Yeah baby
I can be healed
In Eden (I'm at the gate)
It's the start of a new day

The only one I want is you
