Songwriter: Rick Springfield

[Verse 1]
Little Ricky had a crucifix when he was just a kid
He bought it at the eagle's nest where Adolf Hitler hid
There were angels and demons crawling all over that thing
It had a little fence around it and roof all made of wood
And sometimes he'd pray to it when he was feeling good
But when life went against him and his little world turned to shit
He'd take that crucifix and play God for a little bit

[Pre Chorus]
But God don't care, no, God don't care about you
Sometimes you get a clue, and baby it's true
God don't carе about you
There's nothing you can do when I bеat you black and blue
God don't care about you

[Verse 2]
I see it in the faces of the children in the zone
Barrel bombs keep falling rockets from a drone
There's no where to run, no shelter
Not even under mama's wing
Listening to the cries and pain, you'd think the world was cursed
But the oligarchs are running things, and they put their interests first
None of them really care how many people burn
As long as the money that they spend still gets a good return

[Pre Chorus]
And God don't care
God don't care about them
It's the same mean hymn
No, God don't care about them
I saw it in ancient Egypt, then again in Bethlehem
God don't care about them

[Chorus]
God don't care about you, God don't care about you
There's nothing you can say or do
God don't care about you
I know you know it's true, but I still do
God don't care about you

[Verse 3]
I got a rocket in my pocket for the whole damn human race
While God keeps his distance wearing that same ol' poker face
I got some bad early press, they called me "The man who would be king"
But nothing's further from the truth, I don't think you understand
I don't need to lift a finger to further decimate this land
Y'all doing fine without me, go on torch your neighborhood
Then come on down to my house, you know I'll make it good

[Pre Chorus]
Cause God don't care, God don't care about you
You lit that fuse, and led the shake down cruise, God don't care about you
I know you know it's true, but I still do

[Chorus]
God don't care about you, God don't care about you
God don't care about you, there's nothing you can say or do
God don't care about you
I know you know it's true, That I still do
God don't care about you
He dropped out of the blue, bid you all adieu
God don't care about you
Ain't nothing you can do, just ride on through
God don't care about you
