[Verse 1]
I'll tell you all a story 'bout a man who isn't here
Who had a pocket full of chemicals, some cigarettes and beer
I went out to Ibiza running from the pouring rain
I drank a poco loco and I'd never be the same
I met up with some boys, they called themselves the diamond dogs
They were either on the dancefloor or dealing in the bogs
And a reformed gangster got me and he said that he found God
He looked me in the eyes and he started speaking tongues

[Chorus]
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues

[Post-Chorus]
Everybody's saying take that, take that
And I'm about to do exactly that-ah
And I'm the cheeky fucker at the back-ah
Before a disco biscuit disco-nap

[Verse 2]
In Balearic sunshine I went out for a swim
But I heard they'd sent a posse to the rocks to do me in
But I met some friends with faces who were pretty mighty men
They told me "if they come for you my brother
We will go for them"
I whistled down a taxi just to save us all some grief
The taxi man had weed and pills he'd bought from the police
He'd seen me on the TV, said he didn't like my songs
It's the only sense he made 'cause then he started speaking tongues

[Chorus]
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues

[Post-Chorus]
Ahhh, Ahhh
Everybody's saying take that, take that
And I'm about to do exactly that-ah
And I'm the cheeky fucker at the back-ah
Before a disco biscuit disco-nap

[Verse 3]
I met a girl from Preston who wanted sex right there and then
She led me to a hotel but they wouldn't let me in
I begged and I pleaded with the man who owned the place (come on, man!)
Eventually he'd had enough and punched me in the face
I made a promise to that gangster
That I would not commit to another night on the white or I'd have to deal with it
But I had a poco loco, mescaline coming on strong
I really couldn't help it, man, I started speaking tongues

[Bridge]
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues

[Chorus]
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues
Speaking tongues, speaking tongues
Everybody on the island speaking tongues

[Post-Chorus]
Everybody's saying take that, take that
And I'm about to do exactly that-ah
And I'm the cheeky fucker at the back-ah
Before a disco biscuit disco-nap
Everybody's saying take that take, that
And I'm about to do exactly that-ah
And I'm the cheeky fucker at the back-ah
Before a disco biscuit disco-nap

Robbie Williams

One of Britain’s biggest pop acts, Robbie Williams is an English singer-songwriter. He originally rose to fame in boy band Take That but left the group in 1995 to pursue a solo career.

He released his debut album, Life Thru a Lens, in 1997. Although slow to take off, after the success of single “Angels”, the album rose to No.1 in the UK charts. Then his second album, I’ve Been Expecting You, became an even bigger success. Released in 1998, it produced hits “Millennium”, “Strong” and “She’s the One”.

His success continued on third album Sing When You’re Winning, released in 2000, which contains hits “Rock DJ”, “Kids” and “Supreme”; fourth album Swing When You’re Winning (2001) a compilation of big band standards, with single “Somethin' Stupid”; fifth album Escapology (2002), which contains the hit “Feel”; sixth album Intensive Care (2005) with hits “Tripping” and “Sin Sin Sin”.
