[Verse 1]
Come on in and take me on an override
Stuck inside and up all night at Dave's
Trouble's far away, Mother's in the cage
Nothing's gonna pinch this nerve of mine

[Chorus 1]
I wanna make it right
I wanna make it right

[Verse 2]
Close the door and pull the shades and climb the walls
Feel medicine heal the lines of age
Here and now, I'm gone, there and far beyond
Nothing's going to pinch this nerve of mine
Nothing's going to pinch this nerve of mine

[Chorus 1]
I wanna make it right
I wanna make it right

[Chorus 2]
I'm on the wire, over and higher
Over the pretense, over the spire
On and connected
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating
Alone, alone, alone, alone
Alone, alone, alone, alone
Alone, alone, alone, alone

[Verse 3]
Breathe and take it in and gently blow it on
Drink it down and swallow hard and gaze
Roll the potion up, stare your shadow down
Remember to forget and then rename your shame

[Chorus 1]
I wanna make it right
I wanna make it right
I wanna make it right
I wanna make it right

[Chorus 2]
I'm on the wire, over and higher
Over the pretense, over the spire
On and connected
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating now
I'm overfloating
Alone, alone, alone, alone
Alone, alone, alone, alone
Alone, alone, alone, alone

Soundgarden

One of the biggest rock bands out of Seattle, Soundgarden was formed in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Matt Cameron became the band’s full-time drummer in 1986, while bassist Ben Shepherd became a permanent replacement for Yamamoto in 1990. While one of the creators of the Grunge alternative rock and the first to sign to a major label, they only rose to stardom once the genre was popularized by Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains in the early 90s. After achieving great success with 1994’s Superunknown, the band decided to call it quits three years later due to internal squabbles. Eventually they reunited in 2010, releasing new album King Animal two years later. Frontman Chris Cornell committed suicide in a Detroit hotel room on May 17, 2017. He was 52 years old.
