Songwriter: Donald Fagen Walter Becker

[Verse 1]
Worry the bottle, Mama, it's grapefruit wine
Kick off your high-heeled sneakers, it's party time
The girls don't seem to care what's on
As long as they play 'til dawn

[Post-Verse]
Nothin' but blues and Elvis
And somebody else's favorite song

[Verse 2]
Give her some funked-up Muzak
She treats you nice
Feed her some hungry reggae
She'll love you twice
The girls don't seem to care tonight
As long as the mood is right

[Chorus]
No static at all
(No static, no static at all)
FM (No static at all)

[Verse 3]
Give her some funked-up Muzak
She treats you nice
Feed her some hungry reggae
She'll love you twice
The girls don't seem to care tonight
As long as the mood is right

[Chorus]
No static at all
(No static, no static at all)
FM (No static at all)

Steely Dan

Steely Dan originates from Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. The band’s name is in reference to the steam-powered dildo, “Steely Dan III from Yokohama,” in William S. Burroughs' 1959 novel Naked Lunch.

The band’s only permanent members were Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, but they have had many temporary members over the years, most notably Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Denny Dias, Jim Hodder, David Palmer, Royce Jones, Michael McDonald, and Jeff Porcaro.

The original members recorded their final studio album together, Everything Must Go, in 2003. In 2017 Becker died from complications related to esophageal cancer.
