You've got the CBS
And the ABC
You've got Time and Newsweek
Well, they're the same to me

Now, don't you want to get right with me?
I hope you get everything you need

I'm seeing puzzling evidence
Done hardened in your heart
It's hardened up your heart

Now, I am the gun
You are the bullet
I got the power and glory
And the money to buy it

Got your Gulf and Western and your MasterCard
Got what you wanted and you lost what you had

I'm seeing puzzling evidence
Done hardened in your heart
It's hardened up your heart

Sometimes I'm puzzling

See the little children
And their family
Going to live together
I'll take them home with me

I hope you're happy with what you've made
In the land of the free and the home of the brave

I'm seeing puzzling evidence
Done hardened in your heart
It's hardened up your heart

Talking Heads

Ground-breaking rock band Talking Heads is arguably one of the most influential bands of all time. Spearheaded by their slightly crazy lead singer David Byrne, they were at the forefront of the New Wave movement.

The band was formed in 1974 by Byrne and drummer Chris Frantz. Frantz’s then-girlfriend-later-wife Tina Weymouth was quickly recruited to play bass. After a few recordings and performances, guitarist/keyboardist Jerry Harrison was hired to round out the group.

Their first album, Talking 77, was appropriately released in 1977. It quickly received critical acclaim.
