[Verse 1]
Can we run that again
Is that a woman's voice I hear?
I said, "Let's wait and see. I'll see for myself"
That's a phrase I repeat
To myself
Made a reference to me and
That's myself too

[Chorus 1]
What progress I have made the first week
First Week
First Week
First Week

[Verse 2]
Every sentence I use
Refer to women and their names
I heard, heard the voice first last week
I heard it myself
Made a reference to me and
That's myself
This report's incomplete
I can see for myself

[Chorus 2]
Every appointment has been moved to last week
Last Week
Last Week
Last Week

[Verse 3]
I heard the voice first last week
I heard it myself
Made a reference to me
And that's myself
This report's incomplete
I can see for myself

[Chorus 2]
Every appointment has been moved to last week
Last Week
Last Week
Last Week

Talking Heads

Ground-breaking rock band Talking Heads is arguably one of the most influential bands of all time. Spearheaded by their slightly crazy lead singer David Byrne, they were at the forefront of the New Wave movement.

The band was formed in 1974 by Byrne and drummer Chris Frantz. Frantz’s then-girlfriend-later-wife Tina Weymouth was quickly recruited to play bass. After a few recordings and performances, guitarist/keyboardist Jerry Harrison was hired to round out the group.

Their first album, Talking 77, was appropriately released in 1977. It quickly received critical acclaim.
