{Verse 1]
So I heard you found somebody else
And at first, I thought it was a lie (lie, lie, lie, lie, lie....)
I took all my things that make sounds
The rest I can do without

[Chorus]
I don't want your body
But I hate to think about you with somebody else
Our love has gone cold
You're intertwining your soul with somebody else

I'm looking through you
While you're looking through your phone
And then leaving with somebody else
No, I don't want your body
But I'm picturing your body with somebody else

[Post-Chorus]
I don't want your body, I don't want your body
I don't want your body, I don't want your body
I don't want your body, I don't want your body
I don't want your body, I don't want your body

[Verse 2]
C'mon baby (I know)
This ain't the last time that I'll see your face (c'mon baby)
C'mon baby (I know)
You said you'd find someone to take my place

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, I just don't believe that you have got it in you
'Cause we are just gonna keep "doin' it" and every time
I start to believe in anything you're saying
I'm reminded that I should be gettin' over it

[Chorus]
I don't want your body
But I hate to think about you with somebody else
Our love has gone cold
You're intertwining your soul with somebody else

I'm looking through you
While you're looking through your phone
And then leaving with somebody else
No, I don't want your body
But I'm picturing your body with somebody else

[Spoken: Matthew Healy]
London!

[Post-Chorus]
I don't want your body, I don't want your body
I don't want your body, I don't want your body (hey!)
I don't want your body, I don't want your body
I don't want your body (now, let's do it), I don't want your body (this side!)

[Bridge: Matthew Healy + audience]
Get someone you love?
Get someone you need?
Fuck that, get money
I can't give you my soul, 'cause we're never alone
Get someone you love? (ah)
Get someone you need? (You got it)
Fuck that, get money
I can't give you my soul, 'cause we're never alone
Get someone you love? (Everybody)
Get someone you need? (Lemme hear you)
Fuck that, get money
Oh I can't give you my soul, 'cause we're never alone
Get someone you love?
Get someone you need? (You say it)
Fuck that, get money
I can't give you my soul, 'cause we're never alone

[Instrumental]

[Spoken: Matthew Healy]
Hey!

[Instrumental]

[Spoken: Matthew Healy]
London, I want to hear you sing it. Give me it!

[Chorus]
I don't want your body
But I hate to think about you with somebody else
Our love has gone cold
You're intertwining your soul with somebody else

I'm looking through you
While you're looking through your phone
And then leaving with somebody else (alright)
No, I don't want your body
But I'm picturing your body with somebody else

[Spoken: Matthew Healy]
Ok, now we'll keep the accent, let's do it

[Outro]
I know, I know
I know
I know, I know
I know
I know, I know
I know
I know, I know
I know

[Spoken: Matthew Healy]
Yeah!

*sigh* Oh fucking hell, I'm all tangled up now

*grunts while tugging cable*

Oh, I think this a metaphor for my life

Chris, help me! Help me, Chris! Quick, there's loads of people here

*applause*

*chuckling* Give it up for Chris, everybody!

Thank you, Chris. Chris. Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris. Hold on, Chris. It's fine now

The 1975

The 1975 consists of Matthew Healy (vocals/guitar), Adam Hann (lead guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass), all of whom are from Macclesfield in Cheshire, England. The four band members, now based in Manchester, met in Secondary School and began playing together as teenagers.

The eclectic four-piece band have amorphous drifts between brooding art rock, crisp electronica, dancefloor R&B, and 80’s gloss pop, as well as lead singer Matthew “Matty” Healy’s stories of lust, intoxication, and the unabashed grittiness of modern youth. Common themes in their lyrics range anywhere from dysfunctional relationships, to the failure of modernity.

Throughout 2012, The 1975 released multiple EPs, which sparked the start of their careers. The following year, 2013, their self-titled debut album took the world by storm. From 2014 until 2015 the band’s focus was on touring, though they did reveal through photos on social media that their next sound would reflect a departure from their previously black-and-white aesthetic.
