[Verse 1]
You're such a mystery to me
I can never figure you out
I'm always waiting just to see
What you're gonna do
How you're gonna be right now to me
I'm hanging by a thread feeling half-alive
I gotta get to you
Can you save my life tonight?
Ooh, tonight

[Chorus]
No i won't give up, no i won't back down
Never ever gonna let you go
Yeah you pull me in now i feel so free
I wanna do to you what you do to me
Yeah you lift me up, i never been so high
Now you're making me feel that i'm alive
No matter what i do, i always want more of you

[Verse 2]
Am i ever gonna get you next to me?
Come on will you give me a sign?
I think we both could use some mending
No matter what you say i'm gonna make you mine
Are you gonna keep me waiting?
Will you let me inside?
When you're coming undone
Do you wanna run away tonight?
Ooh, tonight

[Chorus]
No i won't give up, no i won't back down
Never ever gonna let you go
Yeah you pull me in now i feel so free
I wanna do to you what you do to me
Yeah you lift me up, i never been so high
Now you're making me feel that i'm alive
No matter what i do, i always want more of you

[Bridge]
I can't sleep here alone
Would you lay down beside me?
And come find me?
If the world ends tonight
And the stars lose their light
I will guide you home
I will guide you, yeah

[Chorus]
No i won't give up, no i won't back down
Never ever gonna let you go
Yeah you pull me in now i feel so free
I wanna do to you what you do to me
Yeah you lift me up, i never been so high
Now you're making me feel that i'm alive
No matter what i do, i always want more of you

[Outro]
Oh yeah, i want more of you
I always want more of you [x2]

The Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, NY, during one of Buffalo’s most prolific underground music phases. The band was formed by John Rzeznik (Also known as Johnny Rzeznik), lead singer and songwriter for the band, with bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. Mike Malinin later replaced Tutuska as the band’s drummer.

The band has released twelve studio albums between 1986 and 2017, but they are best known for platinum-selling A Boy Named Goo (1995) and Dizzy Up the Girl (1998). These mid- to late 1990s albums contain the Goo Goo Dolls' biggest hits to date – Name and Iris most notably, but also Slide, Black Balloon, and Dizzy

These hits made the Goo Goo Dolls a household name for radio-friendly “prom night power balladry” (as one Rolling Stone review put it), but the band’s early output was often far rougher musically, melding the band’s edgier punk influences with an often soft sensibility in the mold of the band’s early heroes, The Replacements. One can hear these influences on many songs on A Boy Named Goo though these affinities would fade after Dizzy Up the Girl.
