Ooh-hoo, I’m your sunny one (sunny one)
Now let me tell you how much good for me you’ve done
Cause when I’m feeling low I’m still your number one (number one)
I knew you’d slip some rain but with you here
There’s no rain at all, oh

Oooh-hoo, I’m your sunny one (sunny one)
Looking good I’m feelin I’m your certain all holds fun
To see you I'll walk around the whole to Michigan
Do anything to be with you, your sunshine makes my world seem new

I’m your sunny one (sunny one, sunny one, sunny one)
We’ll have fun
Sunny one (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oooh-hoo

Ooh-hoo, I’m your sunny one (sunny one)
You make my life so sweet that I’m your honey one
I love you so much I’ll be your funny one
My cloudy days are really gone, the sunshine’s here so keep on shining

Come on (oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Oooh-hoo

I’m your sunny one (sunny one)
Now only your sweet loving I will never shun
I’m trying to tell you the way that I am your sunny one

Sunny one (sunny, sunny, sunny) that’s what you’ve done
Baby my sunny one
Your honey one (hey your sunny one)
Sunny one (your sunny one) …

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
