Thank you very much
Wow, you're such a wonderful audience
We all love you, so fine, wow
Today, we're gonna be a lot of Jackson 5 songs
Songs that's taken from Jermaine Jackson's album
Michael Jackson's album and also the Jackson 5 album
But the next song we're gonna do next
Is a song that you made so popular for us
So I'd like to thank you very much for making this song a hit record
Ladies and gentlemen, "Got To Be There"

[Verse 1: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
Got to be there (Got to be there)
Got to be there in the morning
When she says hello to the world (Hello, hello)
Got to be there (Got to be there), got to be there
Bring her good times
And show her that she's my girl
Oh, what a feeling there'll be
The moment I know she loves me, yeah
'Cause when I look in her eyes I realize
I need her sharing her world beside, beside me, yeah, yeah

[Verse 2: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
So I've got to be there (Got to be there)
Got to be there where love begins
That's why I've got to be there
Got to be there where love begins
And that's everywhere she goes (She goes)
I've got to be there so she knows (She knows)
That when she's with me (She's home, she's home), she's home, yeah
(Home, she's home) Oh, right on
(Home, she's home) Nanananana

[Outro: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
(I got to be there) Got to be there, got to be there
(Got to be there) Got to be there, woo
(Ah, baby baby)
My love, can you feel it?
Clap your hands, woo
(Got to be there, got to be there, got to be there, got to be there)
Around the corner
(Got to be there, got to be there, got to be there, got to be there)
At your door, at your crib, I'll be there
Thank you

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
