[Intro: The Jackson 5]
Lookin' through the window
Lookin' through the window, ah ooh
Lookin' through the window
The window, ooh ah
Lookin' through the window

[Verse 1: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
Lookin' through the windows
The window to your heart
Oh baby, yeah
I can see it's cloudy
The rain's about to start, ooh
Lookin' through the window
(Lookin' through the window)
It seems I caused your fears
Yeah, ooh
And that little doubt, girl
(And your little doubt, girl)
And now it's bringing tears
(And it's bringing tears)

[Chorus: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
(Remember) Just remember whatever makes you feel that way
Don't you worry 'cause I'm gonna, I'm gonna
Right by your side
(By your side)
Keep on lookin' through the windows, woo
Lookin' in your eyes
(Lookin', lookin' through your eye, eye, eye)
(Lookin', lookin' through your eye, eye, eye)

[Verse 2: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
Lookin' through the windows
(Lookin' through the window)
Seems like the only way, woo, yeah
(Ah ha ah, ah ha ah)
I can't know your feelings
If you still love me today

[Chorus: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
(Remember) Remember whatever makes you feel that way
Don't you worry 'cause I'm gonna, I'm gonna
Right by your side, you got it
(By your side)
Keep on lookin', lookin', lookin' through that window
Lookin' in your eyes
Come on now, everybody clap your hands, woo
(Lookin', lookin' through your eye, eye, eye)
(Lookin', lookin' through your eye, eye, eye)

[Outro: The Jackson 5]
Lookin' through the window
The window to your heart
Ah ha ah, ah ha ha
Lookin' through the window
The window to your heart
Zadadadadada, ahah
Zadadadadada, ahahah (Yeah, woo)
Zadadadadada, ahah
Dadadadadada, ahahah (Alright, hey, okay)
Lookin' through the window
(Thank you)
(Thank you very much)

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
