[Spoken Intro: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
I'd like to talk to you all tonight about the blues
Yeah, the blues
Don't nobody have the blues like I have
(What you talkin' about?)
I may be young, ha, but I know what it's all about, yeah
And this is how it went down
I met a girl in school one day during sandbox
(Sandbox?)
Man, she was fine, I mean a fox, fox, yeah
And we toasted our love during milk break
(Milk break?)
I gave her my cookies, man — what you think?
(Cookies?)
Oreos, yeah — and we fell out during fingerpainting, yeah
So one day I stepped up to her, I said, "Doo, doo, doo, doo"
Yeah

[Verse 1: Michael Jackson]
When I had you
I treated you bad
And wrong, my dear
Girl, since
Since you been away

[Chorus: Michael Jackson]
Don't ya know I sit around
With my head hangin' down
And I wonder
Who's lovin' you

[Verse 2: Michael Jackson]
I, I, I, I, I, I, I should have never ever
Ever made you cry
Girl, since
Since you been away

[Chorus: Michael Jackson]
Don't ya know I sit around
With my head, yeah, hangin' down
And I wonder
Who's lovin' you

[Bridge: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
Life without love
Is oh so lonely
I don't think
I don't think I'm gonna make it
'Cause all my life (All my life)
All my life, yeah (All my life)
Belongs to you only
Come on and take it, girl
Come on and take it
Because
All, all I can do
All I can do
Since you been gone is cry
You, ooh ooh, ah yeah
And ever wonder
And worry your pretty little head 'bout what I do

[Chorus: Michael Jackson]
Don't ya know I sit around
With my head, yeah, hangin' down
And I wonder
Who's lovin' you

[Outro: Michael Jackson & (The Jacksons)]
I wanna know if she loves me sometimes now, baby
I, I, I don't know, yeah
I, I, I, I, I wonder, ah yeah
(Who's lovin' you)
I, I, I, whoa whoa, I wonder, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Who's lovin' you)
Oh, oh, oh yeah
Thank you very much
Thank you

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
