[Verse 1]
Ooh baby now, I've been watching you, girl
When you dance, you steal the show
Just like you're stealing hearts
When the lights are low
All the guys are waiting
For the chance to squeeze you tight
Oh, darling no no no, please not tonight

'Cause now you're in my arms, girl
You thrill my soul
C'mon, hold me close, rock me slow
Baby, don't let me go

[Chorus]
Oh, baby, make tonight all mine
I can make you happy
Just gimme a try
Oh, I've waited such a long, long time
Make tonight all mine
Baby, I can satisfy you
Gonna electrify you
C'mon, let me prove it
Show you I can do it

[Verse 2]
I've been walking like a shadow
Right behind you by myself
While you've been walking home
With someone else
Don't you know it hurts me
Seeing you with other guys
Oh, darling no no no, please not tonight

When the party's over, let me walk you home
I'll hold you close, rock you slow
Never, never let you go

[Chorus]
Oh, baby make tonight all mine
I can make you happy
Just gimme a try
Oh, I've waited such a long, long time
Make tonight all mine
Oh, all, all mine, mine, mine, mine, yeah, yeah

Oh, baby make tonight all mine
I can make you happy
Just gimme a try
Oh, I've waited such a long, long time
Make tonight all mine

[Bridge]
Ooh, hey, what you say, girl
Can we step away, girl, oh
Let me get into you
Let me coochie-coo you, oh

[Chorus]
Oh, baby make tonight all mine
I can make you happy, yeah
Oh, I've waited such a long, long time

Oh, baby make tonight all mine
Oh, I've waited such a long, long time
(Baby, I...)

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
