Darling baby listen here, let me tell you something that’s very true
If there is one thing I really ever want to do
Is always making life a little easier for you

I'll give you breakfast, (yeah, yeah), right where you lay (yeah, yeah)
I’ll do your daily chores to get you through the day
And I’ll replace your stove with restaurants and movie shows
In always making life a little easier for you

So don’t you worry your pretty little head
See if I can let me take us through (yeah, yeah)
And if there’s one thing I really ever want to do
Is always making life a little easier for you

To see you lift a finger makes me nervous
And I don’t want my baby abused
So darling I’ll remain at your service (at your service)
In always making life a little easier for you

So don’t you worry your pretty little head
See if I can let me take us through (yeah, yeah)
And if there’s one thing I really ever want to do
Is always making life a little easier for you (you, you, yeah)

If it rains on your parade I’ll take you through the storm (na-na-na-na)
Now when the world treats you cold (I’ll keep you nice and warm)

And with me you never see any hard times
Every day I’m gonna treat you right
Because I love you, I love you (yes, I do, yes, I do)
I’ll take care of you

So don’t you worry your pretty little head, no
See if I can let me take us through (yeah, yeah)
And if there’s one thing I really ever want to do
Is always making life a little easier for you

Making life a little easier for you
Ohhh is making life a little easier for you
Ahhh making life a little easier for you
Na na making life a little easier for you
(Come on, come on)
Is always making life a little easier for you
Awww making life a little easier for you
Na na baby making life a little easier for you

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
