1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4

My best friend told me he’d help me
With a little girl’s love
I don’t know what I searched before
If I had nerve enough

He say he’d say those words for me
I was much too shy
I never thought my best friend would come with his reply

Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Those seven words just drove me out of my mind
Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
You said what mine is yours and yours is are mine

Let me thank you now my friend
I was speaking for myself
I saw that little girl today
And told her how I felt

She said she heard those words before
But wished they came from me
Do I have to tell you what what is very plain to see

Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Those seven words just mean you wasting your time
Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Take care my friend what’s mine is mine

Yeah, yeah (ooh, yeah)

Guess who’s making whoopee to your girlfriend
Those aching words just mean you wasting your time
Guess who’s making whoopee to your girlfriend
Take care my friend what’s mine is is mine

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Oohh

Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Those seven words just mean you wasting your time
Guess who’s making whoopee to your girlfriend
Take care my friend what’s mine is mine

Oh, yeah yeah, yeah yeah

Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Those seven words just drive me out of my mind
Guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Take care my friend what’s mine is is mine

Oh, Let me tell ya, yeah yeah yeah

Oh, oh guess who’s making whoopee with your girlfriend
Those seven words just mean you wasting your time
Ohhh, Guess who’s making whoopee to your

The Jackson 5

The Jackson 5 were originally formed in 1963 under the name, The Jackson Brothers. The founding members were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon. Michael would join the group as the lead singer a year later, a move which pushed Jermaine to sing the backing vocals and play the lead guitar.

After participating in a series of talent shows, they entered the professional music scene in 1967, signing with Steeltown Records and releasing ten singles. In 1969, they left Steeltown Records in order to sign with Motown.

In 1975, most of the Jacksons had opted out of recording any more music for Motown, expressing desires to have creative control over their songs, as well as royalties. Learning that they were earning only 2.8% of royalties from Motown, Joe Jackson, the father and manager of the group, began to negotiate a lucrative contract with Epic records, which offered a royalty rate of 20% per record. The deal was completed in June 1975. As Motown owned the name The Jackson 5, the group simply renamed themselves The Jacksons.
