So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
A new one just begun

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young

Very, merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Christmas
The weak and the strong
The rich and the poor ones
The road is so long

And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
The yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight

A very, merry Christmas
And a happy new year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

The Moody Blues

Initially another British Invasion R&B band following The Beatles in the mid sixties, the Moody Blues proved exceptional by quickly evolving their own Prog Rock style, a sort of fusion of psychedelic and classical that helped invent that genre.

Starting with their second album, Days of Future Passed and its instant classic “Nights in White Satin” in 1967, the Moodies began a string of chart-topping releases that went on for over twenty years…“I Know You’re Out There Somewhere” being a top 40 hit in 1988, the latest in a string of hits in the eighties.
