[Instrumental Intro]

[Verse 1]
Here I lie in my hospital bed
Tell me, Sister Morphine, when are you coming round again?
Well, I don't think I can wait that long
Oh, you see I'm not that strong

[Verse 2]
The scream of the ambulance is sounding in my ears
Please tell me, Sister Morphine, how long have I been lying here?

[Bridge]
What am I doing in this place?
Why, why does the doctor have no face?
Oh, I can't crawl across the floor
Can't you see, Sister Morphine, I'm just trying to score?

[Verse 3]
Well, it just goes to show
Things are not what they seem
Tell me, Sister Morphine, turn my nightmares into dreams
Oh, oh, oh, can't you see I'm fading fast?
Yeah, this shot, yeah, this shot will be my last
(Yeah, come on, baby)

[Guitar solo]

[Verse 4]
Sweet Cousin Cocaine, yeah, lay your cool, cool hand on my head
Now, come on, come on, now, Sister Morphine, Sister Morphine, yeah, you better make up, better make up my bed
Yeah, because you know, and I know, in the morning I'll be dead
Yeah, you can sit around, yeah, you can sit around and watch all these
Clean white sheets stained red, yeah
C'mon now
Yeah, come on, Sister Morphine

[Instrumental Break]

[Outro]
Yeah, because you know, you know and I know, in the morning I'll be dead
Yeah, you can sit around, sit around and watch all the
Clean white sheets stained red

[Audience Applause]

[Spoken Word: Mick Jagger]
Thank you!

The Rolling Stones

Formed in London in 1962, The Rolling Stones led the “British Invasion” along with The Beatles and were so successful their influence can be seen in arguably every rock ‘n’ roll band that followed.

Three of the current members have been there since the band’s singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, who write the majority of the band’s catalogue and also produced some albums as The Glimmer Twins; and drummer Charlie Watts. The fourth official member is guitarist Ronnie Wood, who has been there since 1975 (the keyboardist and bassist who play in studio and live are usually not listed). The Stones have released more than 20 studio albums, and even as age caught up on them, continued to be a huge attraction on the live circuit, with big stadium tours continuing through the 1990s, 2000s and into the 2010s.
