Songwriter: Keith Richards Mick Jagger

[Intro]
We'd like to do one for you now called..... "Stray Cat Blues"

It's pretty hot, inn'it?

[Verse 1]
I hear the click-clack of your feet on the stairs
I know you ain't no scared-eyed honey
There'll be a feast if you just come upstairs, y'all

[Refrain]
It's no hanging matter, no
It's no capital crime

[Verse 2]
I can see that you're thirteen years old
But I don't want your I.D
You look so lonesome, so far from home

[Refrain]
It's no hanging matter, no, little honey
It's no capital crime

[Chorus]
Yeah yeah, you're a strange stray cat
Yeah, don't you scratch like that
Oh yeah, you're a strange stray cat
I bet your mama don't know that you scratch like that
I bet she never saw you bite like that

[Verse 3]
You look so lonesome, so far from home
Bet you don't really miss your mother
Don't look so scared I'm not a mad-brained bear

[Refrain]
It's no hanging matter
It's no capital crime, no no

[Chorus]
Oh, yeah
Woo!
Yeah

[Verse 4]
You say you got a friend, she's wilder than you
Why don't you bring her upstairs?
If she's so wild, she can join in too

[Refrain]
It's no hanging matter, no
It's no capital crime

[Chorus]
Ah yeah, you're a strange stray cat
Ah yeah, don't you bite like that
Yeah, you're a strange stray cat
I bet you mama don't know that you bite like that
I'll bet she never saw you scratch my back
I'll bet she never saw you bite like that
I'll bet she never saw you scratch my back

Woo! Thank you, thank you

The Rolling Stones

Formed in London in 1962, The Rolling Stones led the “British Invasion” along with The Beatles and were so successful their influence can be seen in arguably every rock ‘n’ roll band that followed.

Three of the current members have been there since the band’s singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, who write the majority of the band’s catalogue and also produced some albums as The Glimmer Twins; and drummer Charlie Watts. The fourth official member is guitarist Ronnie Wood, who has been there since 1975 (the keyboardist and bassist who play in studio and live are usually not listed). The Stones have released more than 20 studio albums, and even as age caught up on them, continued to be a huge attraction on the live circuit, with big stadium tours continuing through the 1990s, 2000s and into the 2010s.
