Girl, I made a wish upon a falling star
I want to be the one, I need to mend your heart
You can share your love with me
For feeling joy and ecstasy, uh-huh, uh-huh
Honey, don't be late, the time for us is now
Let me love you, girl, let me wash away your doubt
I'll take you everywhere with me
All I need is one chance to make you see

Good things come to those who wait
Don't you ever be too late for love
(Be late for love, don't you be late, baby)
No, no, darling
Good things come to those who wait
Don't you ever be too late for love
Hee-hee...

Since I met you, girl, you're always on my mind
Life with you I want, baby, all we need is time
I'll give my heart and guarantee
That love will be the best it could be, uh-huh, uh-huh
Your smile's so full and warm
Your eyes they shine so bright
With you in my world, everything seems so right
(They seem so right)
Just give your love to me, to me

Good things come to those who wait
Baby, don't you ever be too late for love, no
(Be late for love, don't you be late, baby)
Oh, good things come to those who wait
Don't you ever be too late for love, no, oh...

You want a love you can depend on
When you're in love, there's no guarantee
Sometimes it can be right
Sometimes love can be wrong
That's how you'll change when love
When love comes your way, mm-hmm

Uh-huh, if you want love to stay, hey
Don't you stay
Don't you want a love to stay
Sugar, don't you wait too late
My love, don't wait, girl
Don't you wait too late
To wait too long
You want a love to keep you strong
Sugar, don't you wait too long
Too late, baby, hey

Good things come to those who wait
Don't you never, never be too late for love...
