Dream lover don't take us down
Don't give up she works it out
She don't wanna believe that
Life ain't worth nothin', now

Some people just stay in one place
Some people take off and run
One jump ahead of
Whatever's out there, yeah

And, she gives me a feeling of peace
Yeah, she gives me a feeling of peace

Don't ask me to come and save you
I've told you everything I know
She gives me something
You can't conceive of, no

Yeah, she gives me a feeling of peace
Yeah, she gives me a feeling of peace

I need some space of my own
Room to get out of myself
I've had my fill of
Waitin' 'round for nothin', yeah

But, she gives me a feeling of peace
Yeah, she gives me a feeling of peace
Yeah, she gives me a feeling of peace
She gives me a feeling of peace
