[Instrumental Intro]

[Spoken]
Meanwhile, there I was in Tokyo
Oh, baby
And I was feelin' good, yeah, yeah, yeah
And I was lookin' at my teacher
Oh!

[Verse 1]
T-t-teacher, stop that screamin'
Won't you see?
Don't wanna be no uptown fool
Maybe I should go to hell, teacher says I'm doin' well
Needs to see me after school

[Chorus]
(I think of all the education that I missed)
But then my homework was never quite like this
Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad
I'm hot for teacher
Got it bad, so bad
Hot for teacher

[Spoken]
Ahh, I'm feelin' hot tonight
(Japanese)
Whoo!

[Verse 2]
I heard about your lessons, so cold
Heard about this school
Little girl from Cherry Lawn, how can you be so bold?
Man, I know that golden rule

[Chorus]
(I think of all the education that I missed)
What education?
But then my homework was never quite like this
Whoa, got it bad, got it bad, got it bad
I'm hot for teacher
I've got it bad, so bad
I'm hot for teacher
Wha-oh

[Guitar solo]

[Spoken]
Got it bad, bad-bad-bad-bad-bad-b-b-bad
Baby, I'm hot for teacher, teacher-teacher-teacher-teach

[Chorus]
I've got it bad, got it bad, got it bad
I'm hot for teacher
Oh
Oh, a-yes I'm hot
Wow!

[Outro]
Look out below!
Whoa!
Turn the fuckin' lights on
Look at all the people here tonight!
Whoo!
Where do you go after that?
Where do you go after that?

Van Halen

Van Halen is one of the most iconic American rock bands of all time. Formed in Pasadena, California in 1972, the group’s primary line-up consisted of Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Alex Van Halen on drums, David Lee Roth providing lead vocals, and Michael Anthony providing bass duties and significant harmonies.

Their first six albums, recorded and released between 1977–1984, are considered to be classics and pioneering efforts in the field of hard rock. Eddie Van Halen’s groundbreaking guitar sound and techniques completely changed the landscape of music and radio culture in the 1980s. His and brother Alex’s virtuosity, along with David Lee Roth’s charisma and bassist Michael Anthony’s foundational contributions garnered the band early comparisons to their predecessors—Led Zeppelin—a group who had a profound influence on them. Though, even more so than Jimmy Page, Eddie cites Eric Clapton as having the biggest impact on his playing.

In 1977, after recording a demo with Gene Simmons (who wanted the band to change their name to “Daddy Longlegs”) they were introduced to KISS‘ management, who told Simmons they wouldn’t sign them
