Here comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that never-ending wave
Each time I see you there, I
Try to think of something I could say

Here comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that ecstasy and fear
I try to catch your eye but I
Don't think you notice that I'm here

I start to lead you down that corridor
Each step more precious than the one before
Like Orpheus in the Underworld
I try to lead you out into the day, yeah
And always look away

Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
Orpheus in the Underworld

Here comes that overwhelming feeling again
Here comes that dark and subtle wave
I slipped your security but I
Guess I'm invisible, a slave

I see the daylight at the end of time
I start to hurry, are you far behind?

Ah, rearview mirror and headlight beam
And their eyes lock and suddenly they scream
As you vanished into day

Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(I tried to look away)
Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(But you vanished into day)
Orpheus in the Underworld
Eurydice, don't look back
(Well, I tried and I tried and I tried to look away, baby)
Orpheus in the Underworld
(You vanished into day, oh girl, you vanished into day)

Don't look back, don't look back, don't look back
Don't look back
Don't look back, don't look back, don't look back
Don't look back, don't look back, no
