[Verse 1]
Flashing lights
Moving to the beat
Mirrored walls
And fog at your feet
I'm just a DJ, baby
Mixing for you
I will not stop
Until this club night is through

[Chorus]
Must be the music (Must be the music)
It's turning me on
Must be the music (Must be the music)
I cannot go wrong
Must be the music (Must be the music)
It's turning me on
Must be the music (Must be the music)
I cannot go wrong

[Verse 2]
My voice is on
So let me MC
I'll spin my records
To get you closer to me
The way you dance
Is blowing my mind
I'm in the booth
Watching you all the time

[Chorus]
Must be the music (Must be the music)
It's turning me on
Must be the music (Must be the music)
I cannot go wrong
Must be the music (Must be the music)
It's turning me on
Must be the music (Must be the music)
I cannot go wrong

[Verse 3]
DJs may come
And DJs may go
But I'm the best baby
Don't you know that I would
Give it up
For loving so true
Give up my records
For a moment with you

[Chorus]
Must be the music (Must be the music)
It's turning me on
Must be the music (Must be the music)
I cannot go wrong
Must be the music (Must be the music)
Now baby, it's turning me on
Must be the music
I cannot go wrong

Ladies

[Bridge]
I'll keep it hot 'til the daylight (Yes, I will)
I'll keep you moving all through the night (Oh, I will)
I'll keep it hot 'til the daylight (Yes, I will)
I'll keep you moving all through the night
I'll keep it hot 'til the daylight
I'll keep you moving all through the night
I'll keep it hot 'til the daylight
I'll keep you moving all through the night

[Instrumental]

[Verse 4: Dr. Dre]
Dance, everybody
And everybody just clap your hands
I said we're here to do what we wanna do
For all you rockin' fans
With Lonzo, Yella, Shakespeare and my name is Dr. Dre
It's called "Must Be The Music"
But it's done World Class way
So just dance, everybody
And everybody just hit the floor
It's the devastating sounds of the Wreckin' Cru so you couldn't ask for more
It's an old school cut from '82
Done funky fresh by the Wreckin' Cru
So if you'll listen close you'll surely find
You're listening to the sounds of the mastermind, oh yeah

Must be the music (It's turning me on with all those flashing lights)
Must be the music (I'm moving the song)
Must be the music ([?] i'm sure you'll agree)
Must be the music (The funkier the music the better the beat)
Must be the music ([?] i'm sure you'll agree)
Must be the music (The funkier the music the better the beat)
Must be the music (And all those flashing lights)
Must be the music (I'm moving the song)
Must be the music (It's turning me on)
Must be the music (I'm sure you'll agree)
Must be the music (The funkier the music the better the beat)
Must be the music
Must be the music
Must be the music
Must be the music

World Class Wreckin Cru

World Class Wreckin' Cru was an electro group from Los Angeles, best known for its contributions to early rap and its association with Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and Michel'le.

The group began in an L.A. nightclub owned by group member Alonzo Williams and built an early reputation for glitzy outfits and romantic dance songs. Their biggest hit was Turn Off The Lights, featuring a Michel'le vocal.

After about two years of activity in the mid-80s, the group broke up and Dr. Dre went on to found N.W.A, which Yella later joined.
