DJ Afrojack, Nick van de Wall
Dutch producer and DJ known for his collaborations with the likes of Chris Brown, French Montana, and David Guetta, Afrojack (born Nick van de Wall) has a spot in DJ Mag’s Top 10 DJs since 2010, when he released his first hit “Take Over Control” with Dutch singer Eva Simmons.
In 2007, he founded his own label, “Wall Recordings”, as a subdivision of Spinnin' Records, in a partnership that went on until 2016, when Wall split from Spinnin'. Once known for his electro, dirty-dutch style, Afrojack moved on to become one of the hottest mainstream and pop DJs of the decade, by releasing worldwide hits such as “Look at me Now”, with Chris Brown, and “Hey Mama”, with Nick Minaj, Bebe Rexha and David Guetta.
When far from the flashes and spotlights of the pop world, he occasionally releases under his moniker NLW, and highlights his electro roots when collaborating with other DJs like Hardwell, Martin Garrix and DubVision. His debut album, “Forget the World”, released in 2014, shows the versatility of his production skills, with calm tracks like “Mexico” and festival contenders like “Ten Feet Tall” and “Dynamite”.
