Airi Suzuki (鈴木愛理; Suzuki Airi) was born on April 12, 1994, in Gifu, Japan (but grew up in Chiba, Japan) to famous golfers Toru Suzuki and Kyoko Marutani, and has a younger brother, Takuya Suzuki, who aims to follow in their parents' footsteps as a professional golfer.

Suzuki is an idol, actress, model, DJ, radio hostess and singer who joined the entertainment industry on June 30, 2002, at the age of eight, after auditioning for Hello!Project Kids and became one of 14 child trainees in the company, although she had been attending Up Front’s Music School at the age of six. The following year, she was chosen to be a member of the unit Aa! alongside fellow Hello!Project Kids members Miyabi Natsuyaki and Reina Tanaka (Reina would later be replaced by Murakami Megumi), though the group would only release one single, they would come back for Hello!Project concerts.

In 2005, Suzuki was selected to be part of the group ℃-ute alongside five other Hello!Project Kids members. The group would make their major debut in 2007. In the same year, she was also selected as a member of the group Buono! with fellow Aa! member Natsuyaki Miyabi and fellow Hello!Project Kids member Momoko Tsugunaga. The group was to provide theme songs for the anime adaptation of しゅごキャラ!(Shugo Chara!), but would go on as a group after the anime’s end until finally disbanding in 2017 (℃-ute would also disband the same year, marking the end of the Hello!Project Kids era).
