Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer-songwriter, musician, and a producer from Decatur, Illinois.
She is also the lead vocalist for her band, Alison Krauss & Union Station, and has released fifteen albums to date with her debut solo album, Too Late to Cry, released in 1987 and with her band’s, Two Highways, released in 1989.
She’s won 27 GRAMMY Awards in 42 nominations to date; her first being in 1991 for Best Bluegrass Recording with the album’s title track “I’ve Got That Old Feeling” at the age of 19; and was then, the second-youngest winner.
