Born November 10th 1987, Charles Hamilton is a Harlem raised rapper/producer. He was among the first generation of rappers to gain a following by releasing free projects on the internet. After releasing a variety of mixtapes that helped put him on the map, he debuted his album The Pink Lavalamp which is now widely considered one of the best underground Hip-Hop releases of all time.

Hamilton gained national recognition after being featured on XXL’s 2009 Freshmen List, releasing the hit single “Brooklyn Girls”, and signing a record deal with Interscope Records. However, Charles gained a negative spotlight in the media in late 2009, was released from the label, and eventually checked himself into a mental institution; thus putting a halt on his rise to stardom.

After his 2009 hardships, he worked hard on putting his life back together and eventually signed with Republic Records in 2015. Since signing, he has released the single “NY Raining” and the album Hamilton, Charles.
