Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 – April 5, 1994) was the founder and frontman of the highly popular 90s grunge band Nirvana, before purportedly ending his own life. He was known for his cryptic lyrics, distinctive voice and guitar sound, dark visuals, and angsty, cynical view of the world—including an eventual dislike for the level of fame that some historians attribute to his alleged suicide.
