Melissa Etheridge is a multi-grammy-award-winning rock singer/songwriter who has been called “the female Bruce Springsteen.” She rose to popularity in 1993 with her album Yes I Am just after coming out to the public as gay. Her most popular songs include “Come to My Window,” “Bring Me Some Water,” and “I’m the Only One,” all of which are about overwhelming passion, longing and jealousy.
