Mỹ Tâm was born in the beach city of Đà Nẵng in Việt Nam on January 16th, 1981, as Phan Thị Mỹ Tâm, and is an iconic singer-songwriter who made her minor debut in 1999.
In 20001, she made her major debut with the album Mãi Yêu; her first hit “Tóc Nâu Môi Trầm” came off the album.
She would later consecutively release hit after hit, which including “Ước Gì”, which would later lament her with the title of “Queen of V-pop”. The aforementioned track was one she performed at the Asia Song Festival in South Korea; she was the first Vietnamese artist to do so.
