GS9 member and long time friend with Bobby Shmurda, Chad Marshall (b. November 24, 1991), better known under his stage name “Rowdy Rebel” is an American rapper from East Flatbush, Brooklyn.

He began rapping at the age of 5 but didn’t take it seriously until age 11. He and Bobby are currently signed to Epic Records, thanks to the rise of Bobby Shmurda with his single Hot Nigga, peaking at number 6 on the Billboard 100.

On December 17th, 2014, Marshall was arrested by the NYPD for conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. Bobby Shmurda and 13 associated GS9 members were also arrested for various charges including drug dealing and conspiracy to murder. He pleaded guilty in exchange for a deal that sentenced him to 6–7 years in prison, thanks to Bobby Shmurda. Due to his time served awaiting his trial, Marshall was given almost two years of time served. Marshall had a parole hearing on August 2020, which led to his approval of his release in December 2020. Marshall was later released on December 15, 2020. Following his release, fellow rapper Young Thug had awarded the rapper a YSL chain.
