Spooky Tooth
Spooky Tooth
Spooky Tooth started out as a band called The VIPs, which included Keith Emerson and Mike Kellie. When future rock star Emerson left, The VIPs changed their name to Art. After one album, they changed it again, to Spooky Tooth.
They had two successful records in their unique heavy rock style,, before Greg Ridley left to help form the supergroup Humble Pie. While they put out a few more albums, including the critically lauded and fan favorite The Last Puff, they never fully recovered, breaking up and reforming intermittently over the following years.
A band with wide-ranging influence on other artists, their song Better by You, Better By Me was covered by Judas Priest.
