The Postal Service
The Postal Service
The Postal Service were an electronic pop duo consisting of producer Jimmy Tamborello and singer-songwriter Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie.
The collaboration between the two started when Tamborello’s solo project, Dntel, released “(This Is) The Dream Of Evan And Chan” featuring Ben Gibbard in 2001. The positive feedback of the song led to the duo deciding to make an album together.
Their only album, Give Up, was released in 2004. Out of its ten tracks, the best known song is probably “Such Great Heights”. However, their only charting single was “We Will Become Silhouettes”, which reached 82 on the Billboard Hot 100.
