[Intro]
Uh

[Verse 1]
Back when the music was the singles
'Fore the rap niggas started making jingles
Back when Soulja made a killing off of ringtones
Back then, I would stack my chips, Pringles
Back then, young kid sicker than the measles
Kept the dope fiends itchin' like it's ringworms
Baskin', married to the game without a ring, though
You was precious to me, I was Smeegle, goddamn
Fast forward, you was everything, I was livin' for
Only thing soft was your chest, I was restin' on
Through them rough nights, love is what I did it for
Did you wrong, back then I couldn't do nothin' right, goddamn
I'll admit it, you the reason that I'm in it
Be the reason you be queefin' while I'm in it long
Take a minute, 'cause you're grievin' hard (Huh, huh)
When the liquor bleedin' through your pores
Sleepin' on the floors, damn it, Jim Morrison doors
Starin' at the ceilings and the posters on the walls
So outgoing but we was indoors
Don't know what we in for, ten fold

[Chorus]
You should have been my missus
I done struck out, yeah, I know I missed it
This one dedicated to my bitches
All the real ones who will never get the mention
This song, I done struck out, yeah, I know I missed it
This one dedicated to my bitches
All the real ones who will never get the mention
This song dedicated to you, for you
This song (This song)
For you (For you)
Oh, whoa, whoa
Oh, whoa, whoa

[Verse 2]
Back when the music was the singles (Singles)
'Fore my baby brother rapped like the mingles
Like when white folks wouldn't even mingle
I'm just glad, we just speak the same lingo, goddamn
All I want is guap and my Evisu
And the bad ho from Santo Domingo
I ain't had a fan or birdie to sing to
Now I'm realizin' how much I need you
Turf's gon' help me get wealthy
The turf's gon' bless me, Hail Mary
I done had menages, bunch of RiRi look alikes
And wannabe Beyoncé's, playin' mind games
They was in between my cock and my mom's place
Between a rock and a hard place

[Chorus]
You should have been my missus
I done struck out, yeah, I know I missed it
This one dedicated to my bitches
All the real ones who will never get the mention
This song, I done struck out, yeah, I know I missed it
This one dedicated to my bitches
All the real ones who will never get the mention
This song (This song)
For you (For you)
This song (This song)
For you (For you)

A$AP Rocky

Rakim Athelaston Mayers (named after “The God MC” Rakim), better known by his stage name, A$AP Rocky, hails from Harlem, New York. He is no stranger to the cliché rap lifestyle, popularized by fellow Harlem Patriarchs, from Big L and Kool Moe Dee to Mase and Cam'ron. However, Rocky’s melodic rap style has drawn more immediate comparisons to recently incarcerated Harlemite Max B.

Rocky’s career began in 2007, when he joined the Harlem-based A$AP Mob, founded by A$AP Yams, A$AP Bari and A$AP Illz. Rocky was projected into fame in 2011 following the release of his debut mixtape LIVE.LOVE.A$AP, which featured hits like “Peso” and “Purple Swag,” and earned him a record deal with RCA Records.

His debut studio album, Long. Live. A$AP was released in 2013, after several pushbacks by his label. Long.Live.A$AP was thought to exceed the promises of his debut mixtape, preserving Rocky’s immaculate taste while smartly upgrading his sound.
