[Intro]
(Nobody wanna hafta say goodbye, nobody wanna hafta say goodbye)
Same damn time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time

[Verse 1]
Boy meets world, then boy meets girl
But when boy leaves, so does that girl’s world
I learned the difference between the want and the need
The difference between me and her and the us and the we
Let me tell you ‘bout the difference between a house and a home
How you could live together, be together
And still feel alone
She on the phone tryna vent cause she heated
Thnkin’ bout leavin’ but I need a better reason
When she say she hates you and part of me believe it
Never say I love you to someone unless you mean it
See we had a spark that could light up like July 4th
It’s hard to live with the person I would die for
I love you so much, I don’t mind the hurt
Nobody wanna say goodbye first
“Goodbye first”

[Hook]
See I need you, but I leave you
Love you and hate you at the same damn
Time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time, time
Love you and hate you at the same damn time

[Verse 2]
Maybe it’s you, maybe it’s me, maybe it’s us
Maybe it’s love, maybe it’s lust, maybe we rushed
Maybe it’s trust or the lack thereof
You be trippin’ all this baggage, how you pack that much?
They say the grass is always greener on the other side
My exes always seem to text when it ain’t goin’ right
Fightin’ temptation, all these apples I ain’t touched yet
Female friends are just girls I ain’t fucked yet
And it ain’t easy tryna be a man
Sometimes it takes time and sometimes you gotta understand
I know we drifting from the place where we start
Harder part of growing up is when you growing apart
But sometimes it rains and I love the weather
If we change I hope it’s for the better
They say sex is the glue for bad relationships
Well that explains why we stuck together, damn

[Hook]
See I need you, but I leave you
Love you and hate you at the same damn
Time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time, time
Love you and hate you at the same damn time

[Verse 3]
Sometimes it feels like we chained to one another
Sometimes it feels like we slaves to one another
I wish that we could change for one another
Cause sharin’ a last name don’t mean you made for one another
But you loved me even when I was pushing the dinted whip
Twenty-something and living at mama’s crib
You explainin’ to you father why you dating a rapper
Drive you crazy like Lauryn, guess I’m your Ex-Factor
And I wonder why you stay, you know it’s better you leave
Cause you deserve the best, somebody better than me
Sometimes life taints the plans that we plan out
Get it right or get left and sometimes it don’t pan out
Wonder where we went wrong and why it didn’t work
I put a ring around your finger, shit that made it worse
Never made it to the church and it hurts cause we tried
Nobody wanna say goodbye first but, “goodbye”

[Hook]
See I need you, but I leave you
Love you and hate you at the same damn
Time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time, time
Love you and hate you at the same damn time

[Outro]
Same damn time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time, time, time, time, time, time
Same damn time
