[Verse 1]
Let there be light (Oh yeah)
Divide heaven tonight
Oh, open my sight (Oh yeah)
Yes, pump it on home tonight
I see hearts are breaking
I feel tears falling
Oh yeah, scenes from a million years
I want lovers talking
See their fear subsiding
Sliding down cross a million years
But when I get home
I walk right up your street
Investigate all that's sweet (Yeah)
Lead me, baby

[Chorus]
Switch on your lights tonight
Ooh, pumping on steel tonight
Gonna be fine, that's right
Yes, all right
Pumping on steel tonight
Well all right

[Verse 2]
Man, myth breaker
Woman, man maker
Singin' scenes from a million years
Oh, now we're talking
Ooh, fears breaking
Running down cross a million years
But when I get home
I walk right to your door
Ha, my baby, I want some more
Lead me, girl

[Chorus]
Switch on your lights tonight
We'll be pumping like steel tonight
S'gonna be wild that's right - ow!
All right
Pumping on steel tonight
Shake it out wild, that's right
C'mon yeah
Pumping on steel tonight
Yes'n well all right

[Bridge]
Let there be light
Ooh, divide your heaven tonight
I said and open my sight
Oh, I've got to slide tonight
I've got to ride
I might die tonight

[Chorus]
Switch on your lights

[Guitar solo]
[Ad libs]

Got to be fine, that's right
Oh gonna be wild, that's right
Lead me, baby
Lovin' tonight (Ow!)
Pumping on steel that's right
Yes'n well all right
Yes'n well all right
Yes'n well all right
Lead me, baby
Pumping on steel

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
