Producer: Travis Barker

[Verse 1: Mark Hoppus, Matt Skiba, Both]
I hate to be a downer
But I spent too many hours
Crossing days off the calendar
It don't mean nothing to me
I'm burned out like lights on a tree
Old songs, can't listen to these
Fake a smile but all I can see
Is empty boxes and trees

[Chorus: Mark Hoppus]
Another year not in a coffin
Growing up or whatever you call it
Sometimes you get what you got
But it's not what you wanted at all
This is not another Christmas song

[Post-Chorus: Mark Hoppus & Matt Skiba]
Fo-la-la-la
Fo-la-la-la
This is not another Christmas

[Verse 2: Mark Hoppus & Matt Skiba]
Why can't we get divorced for Christmas?
'Cause it just isn't the same (It just isn't the same)
I miss the nights that we got twisted
I miss fucking in the rain (I miss fucking in the rain)
And now (Now), you're always angry
And I'm always saying, "I'm sorry"
Depression's such a lonely business
Why can't we get divorced for Christmas?

[Chorus: Mark Hoppus]
Another year not in a coffin
Growing up or whatever you call it
Sometimes you get what you got
But it's not what you wanted at all
This is not another Christmas song

[Post-Chorus: Mark Hoppus & Matt Skiba]
Fo-la-la-la
Fo-la-la-la
This is not another Christmas song
Fo-la-la-la
Fo-la-la-la
This is not another Christmas song

[Bridge: Mark Hoppus & Matt Skiba]
Another year not in a coffin (Let it snow, let it snow)
Growing up or whatever you call it (Let it snow, let it snow)
Sometimes you get what you got
But it's not what you wanted at all
This is not another Christmas song (Let it snow, let it snow)

[Chorus: Mark Hoppus & Matt Skiba]
Another year not in a coffin
Growing up or whatever you call it
Sometimes you get what you got
But it's not what you wanted at all
This is not another Christmas
Another year not in a coffin (Fo-la-la-la, fo-la-la-la)
Growing up or whatever you call it
Sometimes you get what you got (Fo-la-la-la, fo-la-la-la)
But it's not what you wanted at all
This is not another Christmas song

blink-182

blink-182 set off the 1990s storm of pop-punk, blazing a trail in the genre with electrifying riffs and memorable lines—“Fuck a Dog,” anyone? The band has seen some lineup changes over the years, but its core trio (Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker) has mostly stood the test of time. As of 2015, DeLonge left the band to pursue other projects.

Founded in 1992 in Poway, California (a suburb in San Diego), DeLonge, Hoppus, and former drummer Scott Raynor formed the band in Raynor’s bedroom, writing songs for their demos, and playing practical jokes along the way. Initially, under the name Blink, the trio was forced to change the name to avoid a lawsuit with the Irish pop-rock group of the same name, so they added “182” at random (fans continue to speculate what “182” means to this day).

After releasing their demo album Buddha, blink-182 released Cheshire Cat in 1995 under Cargo Records. While not a major success at the time, the album generated buzz from the Southern California punk scene and major labels alike. After being signed to MCA Records, the band released Dude Ranch in 1997 with the hit singles “Dammit” and “Josie”.
