[Chorus]
In the game of love
You either win or lose
But you have to face the truth
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)
In the game of love (In the game of love)
There's a chance you have to take (Chance you have to take)
If you think your heart should break (Should break)
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)

[Verse 1]
Oh, it is amazing, how close to you I feel
Sometimes I wonder, I wonder if it's real
Could we be lovers or just the best of friends?
Or is this just a story that's coming to an end?

[Chorus]
In the game of love (Well, in the game of love, love, love)
You either win or lose (You either win or lose)
But you have to face the truth (You gotta face the truth when you play the Game of Love)
When you play the Game of Love
In the game of love (Ooh)
There's a chance you have to take (A chance you gotta take)
If you think your heart should break (You're gonna break it)
When you play the game of love (You play, when you play)

[Verse 2]
If I had the power, I would reach into your mind
And try to find the answers, that your heart could never hide
You see but I'm only human, I must have fallen for your spell
But baby for the future, I guess only time will tell
Oh, no no

[Bridge 1]
I remember Mondays (Mondays that were spent in June)
And memories (Memories that were gone too soon)
Where did they go? (Where did they go?)
Go away (Go away)
(Or will they come) back to stay?
Should I wait (Should I wait in vain?)
Or will I find (Another day of pain?)
What should I do? (What should I do?)
What will it be? (What will it be?)
Is it just a fantasy?

[Chorus]
In the game of love
You either win or lose (Ooh)
But you have to face the truth
When you play the game of love (Play the games of love)
In the game of love (In the game of love)
There's a chance you have to take (Chance you have to take)
If you think your heart should break (Should break)
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)

[Bridge 2]
I don't want to play the game of love no more
I've played the game of love before (Played the game, played the game, played the game of love)
I don't want to play the game of love no more (Never)
I've played the game of love before (I don't want to play the game, play the game, play the game)

[Chorus]
In the game of love (In the game of love)
You either win or lose (You either win or lose)
But you have to face the truth (You have to face the truth)
When you play the game of love (When you play the game of love)
In the game of love (In the game of love you must take a chance)
There's a chance you have to take (Chance you have to take)
If you think your heart should break (If you wanna make it last for) (Should break)
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)

In the game of love
You either win or lose
But you have to face the truth
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)
In the game of love (In the game of love)
There's a chance you have to take (Chance you have to take)
If you think your heart should break (Should break)
When you play the game of love (Play the game of love)

Brownstone

Brownstone is an female R&B trio that came to fame in the mid-90’s. The original members of the group were Nicci Gilbert, Monica “Mimi” Doby, and Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell.

They released their debut album From The Bottom Up on Michael Jackson’s MJJ Music label. It featured the #1 R&B smash “If You Love Me”.

Before recording their second album Still Climbing, they replaced Monica “Mimi” Doby with Kina Cosper. The second album yielded a solid hit in “5 Miles To Empty”, but the group disbanded before a third album could materialize.
