[Verse 1]
I know you've been hurt before
I can see it in your eyes
And if you just shut the door
I would not be surprised
Even though I know you've heard it
These words I'm tryin' to say
I think the others only flirted
With the true meaning of always

[Chorus]
Well you can say what you wanna
But I ain't gonna
Stop this journey to the center of your heart

[Verse 2]
I see the candle through your window
It burns there every night
The shadow leaves an innuendo
Of no one holdin' you tight
Many nights I've dreamt you near me
But awakened to you gone
I know one day you'll hear me
I don't care how long

[Chorus]
Well you can say what you wanna
But I ain't gonna
Stop this journey to the center of your heart

[Bridge]
Journey, center of your heart
(Journey to the center of your heart)
Da da da da da da da da da da da
Heart

[Verse 3]
I've waited a lifetime baby
Just to know your name
We've done everything in our minds
Let's stop the game (let's stop it)
Even though I know
You've heard these words I'm tryin' to say
Somehow I know these others
Only flirted with the true meaning of always, oh!

[Chorus]
Well you can say what you wanna
But I ain't gonna
Stop this journey to the center of your heart

Say it! Say it, babe!
The center of your heart
Can't stop me now
I've been waiting too long, baby

[Chorus]
Well you can say what you wanna
But I ain't gonna
Stop this journey to the center of your heart

I ain't gonna stop it
Journey to the center of your heart
(Heart)
Of your heart, babe
(Heart)
I've been waiting so long
(Heart)
I ain't gon' stop now
(Heart)
Open up your heart for me
(Heart)
Open up, baby
(Heart)
Heart
(Heart)
On a journey to your heart
