[Verse 1]
Sworn to secrecy
Knew it wouldn't happen for me
I fend off other people
Who try to get in, who try to see

[Verse 2]
Learned from my mistakes
Or at least think I have
Underestimated Los Angeles
Underestimated what I'd see in you

[Chorus]
I'm drunk again, I should be embarrassed
But you embrace it, don't make me feel nervous
Oh, I wanted to be
Close to you
Let you in, I should be so helpless
But you changed me, romantic again
I've been jaded
Learned to think with consequences

[Outro]
Guess I was waiting on you
I've been waiting my whole life, been waiting my whole life
But I guess I didn't know what was in front of me
Didn't know what I couldn't see
I just wish I could have it for me
I just wish I could have it for me
I just wish I could have it for me
I just wish that I could
I just wish that I could
