It may seem like the wrong time
To let somebody near
But baby don't fear me
I just want to lend an ear

You can run for cover
Oh, but darling, don't you see
For every smile there's a teardrop
And that's just how it's gonna be

So it went wrong, somewhere down the line
But you can't hold on, it's just a waste of time

Boy you're gonna laugh (just a little bit)
And live through some tears (just a little bit)
Until you finally learn (that the point of it)
Is that love will come again

That's how you start over
That's how you begin again
That's how you start over

Anyone who's lost love
Always seems to swear
To never give your heart away
For someone to share

Listen to your heart, each beat brings you nearer
Till you understand, nothing seems too clear

Boy you're gonna laugh (just a little bit)
And live through some tears (just a little bit)
Until you finally learn (that the point of it)
Is that love will come again

That's how you start over
That's how you begin again
That's how you start over
Love will come again
