[Verse 1]
New heights in the ocean
I walked a lonely path
Yeah, I was waiting for you
I prayed you would come soon
Our hearts were the lowest they had ever been (?)
I search the world for light
I was losing my fight

[Pre-Chorus]
But I held on for this long, I held on
I could feel something coming
Struggling not to lose hope
Then wash over me all your love, by your love
Two lonely hearts become one

[Chorus]
I've been asleep for my whole life
A bad dream, but I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight
I walked the streets like I had died
Now look at me, I'm finally alive
I'm awake tonight, I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight, I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight, I'm awake tonight

[Verse 2]
But I held on for this long, I held on
I could feel something coming
Struggling not to lose hope
Then wash over me all your love, by your love
Two lonely hearts become one

[Pre-Chorus]
But I held on for just no one, I held on
I could feel something coming
I struggle not to lose hope
Then wash over me all your love, by your love
Two lonely hearts becoming one

[Chorus]
I've been asleep for my whole life
A bad dream, but I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight
I walked the streets like I had died
Now look at me, I'm finally alive
I'm awake tonight, I'm awake tonight
I walked the streets like I had died
Now look at me, I'm finally alive
I'm awake tonight, I'm awake tonight

[Outro]
Ohh, ohh
I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight
Ohh, ohh
I'm awake tonight
I'm awake tonight

Foxes

Louisa Rose Allen, known professionally as Foxes, is a singer-songwriter from Southampton, United Kingdom.

Allen moved to London at the age of 18 before enrolling in and subsequently leaving a music theory-focused course. This allowed her to spend more time crafting the songs that would ultimately be released as singles on the transatlantic indie label Neon Gold and the Sony imprint Sign of the Times. A careful and slow-burning promotional campaign saw her music featured in the U.S. teen drama Gossip Girl, while Allen gradually came to be touted in an increasing number of blogs during 2012. Despite having performed relatively few gigs up until that point, in October 2012 she toured in support of labelmate MARINA. Early the following year, the Andy C remix of “Right Here” – her collaboration with U.K. drum'n'bass act Rudimental – crept into the U.K. Top 75 singles chart.

Graduating from single tracks to EP releases, Foxes issued the Warrior EP in late 2012, which spawned the well-circulated hit “Youth.” “Youth” was remixed enough to warrant a remix collection, and the song was also licensed for television and various other promotions. Allen worked off of the success she’d been building toward the completion of her debut full-length, Glorious. Released in May 2014, following the Top Ten placement of its second single, “Let Go for Tonight,” the album peaked at number five on the UK chart. Within a year, Allen issued “Body Talk,” the Top 25 lead single from her second album, All I Need, which was released in February 2016. Allen signed to [PIAS] Recordings in 2019, releasing the single “Love Not Loving You,” her first material in over four years, the following May.
