Songwriter: Gary Numan

[Verse 1]
No more questions
No more answers
All that's left is the fear
No more questions
No more answers
All that's left is the fear

[Pre-Chorus]
I can feel they're here
I can feel the cold
I can't fight for long
This machine runs down

[Chorus]
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to try
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to try

[Post-Chorus]
If I had a picture
I would say it's all for you
If I had a picture
I would say it's all for you

[Chorus]
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to stay
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to stay

[Verse 2]
This dying machine
I can hear me scream
I've nowhere to run
I've nowhere to hide

[Chorus]
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to fly
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to fly

[Post-Chorus]
I've nowhere to run
I've nowhere to hide

[Chorus]
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to die
Why give orders?
And why make speeches?
Give me a reason to die

[Verse 3]
Everything breaks down
And me, I'm trapped inside
And here inside it ends

[Outro]
There's nothing I can do
There's nothing I can do now
If I had a picture
I could say it's all for you
(I could say it's all for you)
I can only wonder
(I can only wonder)
I can only wonder why
(I can only wonder why)
There's nothing I can do
There's nothing I can do now
