[Chorus: 2D]
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?

[Verse 1: 2D]
Take a gun, or how you say
That's no way you behave
You're just alone when you begin
To sing a song that doesn't sing
It grows (Hey)
You know

[Chorus: 2D]
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?

[Verse 2: 2D]
Are we the last to get away
To a sun, another day?
Or do we know what we know?
It doesn't seem to be conveyed that way

[Chorus: 2D]
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Are we the last living souls?
Could go the last living soul

[Interlude: 2D]
Get up, get up, get up, get up, get up, get up, get up, get up
Lord, save me

[Bridge: 2D]
'Cause all out of song
I got it down and wrong
I see myself to get
The long all-seeing road down
You come and take a sound
I bought the car made up
The coldest man
He doesn't say it's wrong

[Verse 3: 2D]
We go to the car
I see you walk into the fog
And when you get there, what do you see?
You fit the last you need on me

[Chorus: 2D]
'Cause we're the last living souls
We're the last living souls
Yeah, we're the last living souls
We're the last living souls

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a virtual band created by Damon Albarn of Britpop band Blur and Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the comic book Tank Girl. The band is composed of four animated band Stuart “2D” Pot (vocals, keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass), Noodle (lead guitar and occasional vocals), and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). Murdoc was based on Keith Richards from a photo by David Bailey and 2D was based on a friend of Damon and Jamie’s.

The project began as an experiment and commentary on popular media. It was inspired by Hewlett and Albarn binge watching MTV when the two were housemates in London. Hewlett

If you watch MTV for too long, it’s a bit like hell – there’s nothing of substance there. So we got this idea for a cartoon band, something that would be a comment on that.
