[Verse 1: Hall & Oates]
I've been living outside of Philly
Yeah, I'm so far away
I've been gone for more than a minute
Is the neighbourhood the same?

[Pre-Chorus: Hall & Oates]
All the kids on the corner
California never had that thing
I remember Rich Girl in the summer
Like yesterday

[Chorus: Hall & Oates]
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)

[Verse 2: Train]
Going back way low in seven
There was music all night
Oh and when the hands hit eleven
Pennsylvania came to life

[Pre-Chorus: All]
All the kids on the corner
California never had that thing
I remember Rich Girl in the summer
(You're a rich girl)
Like yesterday

[Chorus: All]
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now, oohooh)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me)

[Bridge: All]
Every time I go away from ya
I can feel my mama wait for me
Philly I would never change on ya
You ain't always sunny honey
But you love me back

[Chorus: All]
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now
Just like yesterday)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)
Philly forget me not, forget me not, forget me not
(Come on Philly don't forget me now)

Hall & Oates

Hall & Oates released the first of their 18 albums in 1972 on Atlantic Records. They would go on to sell 13 million albums and 6 million singles primarily during the 70’s and 80’s when they recorded their most prolific and profound music. They blended rock, jazz, soul, and pop create a genre they titled rock and soul.

While their technical musicianship, innovative songwriting styles, and popular live performances were praised, they also had a fruitful partnership with their manager Tommy Mottola, who was helped Hall & Oates break into music videos before they were popular and made profitable financial deals by helping them get on the ground level of and corporate sponsorship of tours. Hall & Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
