[Intro]
Friends come a dime a dozen
But I know that I will never find a friend like you
And that's why I wanna sing this song
Wherever you are
Wherever (I will never lie again)
I just want to let you know
That I will never lie again (I will never lie again)
I promise

[Chorus]
I will never lie again
'Cause you'll always be my friend (you will always be)
I will never lie again (I will never lie)
'Cause a friend like you will last forever

[Verse 1]
Sitting in my window, I'm thinking of you
All the fun things we used to do
I feel the pain, please come back to me
'Cause a friend like you will only come once in a lifetime

[Chorus]
I will never lie again (I will never lie again)
'Cause you'll always be my friend (you'll always be my friend)
I will never lie again (I will never, I will never lie)
'Cause a friend like you will last forever (last forever)

[Verse 2]
On the phone, when you were here
Laughing and joking, crying and sulking
In my dreams, you're still with me
'Cause a friend like you only comes once in a lifetime

[Chorus]
I will never lie again (I will never lie)
'Cause you'll always be my friend (you'll always be my friend)
I will never lie again (I will never, never lie)
'Cause a friend like you will last forever (last forever)

[Bridge]
When I think of you, I think of someone special
And how it used to be, yeah
I know you'll always be my friend
I'm so sad it had to end

[Chorus]
I will never lie again (Lie, don't wanna lie to you)
'Cause you'll always be my friend (come back to me, come back, I love you)
I will never lie again (I don't wanna lie)
'Cause a friend like you will last forever (a friend like you will last forever)
I will never lie again (la dee ahh yee ahh, la dee ahh yee ahh)
'Cause you'll always be my friend (you'll always be my friend)
I will never lie again (don't wanna lie to you, girl)
'Cause a friend like you will last forever (a friend like you will last forever)
I will never lie again (la dee ahh yee ahh, la dee ahh yee ahh)
'Cause you'll always...

Immature

Immature, also known as IMx, is an R&B group from Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1992 by Marques Houston (Batman), Jerome Jones (Romeo, also known as Young Rome), and Don Santos (Half-Pint). The trio decided to enter a talent show together at the school they were attending. After performing, they were discovered and signed to Virgin Records, and began recording their debut album.

Their debut album, On Our Worst Behavior, was released on September 22, 1992. The album produced three singles: “Tear It Up (On Our Worst Behavior” featuring Jermaine Dupri, “Da Munchies”, and “I Wanna Know U That Way”. Though the album and two of its singles failed to chart, “Tear It Up (On Our Worst Behavior)” managed to peak at #29 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, largely due to its inclusion on the soundtrack to the animated film Bébé’s Kids.

In 1994, Half-Pint’s parents pulled him from the group because they wanted him to focus on his studies more instead of being in the group. Half-Pint was replaced by Kelton Reese (LDB, or Little Drummer Boy), who was already the drummer for the group. Now signed to MCA Records, their sophomore effort Playtyme Is Over was released on August 10, 1994. Unlike their previous effort, the album managed to peak at #26 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and #88 on the Billboard 200. The accompanying three singles for the album were: “Never Lie” (the album’s most successful single, peaking at #5 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, “Constantly”, and “I Don’t Mind”.
