[Verse 1]
Young and different, uh
She looked at a condom, huh
And could still see the sun, huh
Do you remember 21, uh?
Can I stay the wait, uh?
Grow up today, huh
Can you really blame, huh
Shit, you can leave or stay, huh

[Chorus]
When the world feels like it's closin' in
And you don't know what you know
And you think about what's holdin' you
It's relatively close
Just leave it all behind
You gotta get away
You gotta get away
Everybody

[Verse 2]
See the look in my eye, uh
I got to get it out, uh
I don't care if they stare, uh
I learn life's not fair, uh
I'm gonna play while I'm here, huh
I gotta get it out, huh
Just watch me run away now, uh
You know sometimes you just gotta

[Refrain]
Hey
Run away from
Home
Run away from (Young, fresh n' new)
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from

[Bridge]
(Got to get)
I've got to get away (Away)
Hey, hey hey hey
(I've got)
I've got to get away (Away)

[Refrain]
Hey
Run away from
Home
Run away from (Young, fresh n' new)
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from

[Chorus]
When the world feels like it's comin' in
And you don't know what you know
And you think about what's holdin' you
It's relatively close
Just leave it all behind
You gotta get away
You gotta get away
Everybody

[Bridge]
(Got to get)
I've got to get away (Away)
Hey hey hey hey
(I've got)
I've got to get away (Away)
But I've got to be young, fresh n' new

[Refrain]
Hey
Run away from
Home
Run away from (Young, fresh n' new)
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Hey
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Hey
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from
Home
Run away from

[Outro]
When the world feels like it's comin' in
And you don't know what you know
And you think about what's holdin' you
It's relatively close
Just leave it all behind
You gotta get away
You gotta get away
Everybody

Kelis

When idiosyncratic R&B singer Kelis hit the scene in 1999 with the siren-bathed “Caught Out There,” many didn’t know what to do with a rainbow-haired songstress repeatedly screaming “I hate you so much right now” as her hook. It made her not only unforgettable, but also helped put hitmaking production duo The Neptunes on the map.

Though her debut album Kaleidoscope was well-received, her label Virgin Records opted to only release the sophomore Wanderland internationally though the single “Young, Fresh N' New” was in rotation on BET & MTV.

Despite record label drama, Kelis kept her public profile up singing the hooks on hit songs like ODB’s “Got Your Money” and Busta Rhymes' “What It Is”.
